Please join Ruben Natal-San Miguel and Loni Efron for a fabulous night of fun and photography honoring Ruben’s Sweet 6teen. A 16 year celebration of people, life and places through the lens of Ruben Natal-San Miguel.
Both Ruben and Loni are long time Harlem residents. Ruben shoots everyday life and turns to the streets to capture his unique portraits. He photographs people being themselves in their environments. As a long time Harlem resident Ruben often focuses on Harlem and NYC in his work. He has an eye for shooting the extraordinary. “I have always been drawn to textures, patterns, bright colors, great design and self-expression.” says Ruben, which is evident in the uniqueness of his work.
ilon Art Gallery was founded in 2014 by archivist and curator Loni Efron. Located in the heart of Harlem, this boutique gallery exhibits on three floors of an historic 1890’s brownstone. The gallery focuses on emerging and established photography. “I love Ruben’s work because it’s celebration of the diversity of cultures that make up our great city” says owner Loni Efron, “and Ruben’s work has with a strong focus on my favorite town, Harlem, NY.” Loni is very excited to exhibit a Harlem native artist. Loni Efron has been working as an archivist, photo editor, curator, software designer and art advisor for over 25 years, helping photographer’s exhibit and monetize their work.
