APAG is an organization for people handling private photo collections. It is also for working photographers who have been in the industry and have made a living as a fine art or editorial photographer and are working on their own archives, and for other photo-related professionals in the archive field.

DURING THE PANDEMIC

Zoom meetings held every two weeks with presentations from experts in the photography industry. Audio from all meetings is available under the members only section.

  • Meetings 3 times a year at the International Center of Photography (ICP). Notes from meetings sent out to all members.
  • APAG Google group: enables you to have discussions with other members.
  • Articles posted on Facebook page with up-to-date info about the photo industry.
  • Facebook page posts members latest books, exhibits, websites, or other projects.
  • Updates to APAG’s Events and News pages, to feature upcoming exhibits, publications, and other items of interest.
  • Photo gallery, along with bio and contact info, on our galleries page.

Membership: (APAG West members pay one fee for both National and affiliate membership)

Student member:     $50

Affiliate member:     $75  (outside NYC tri-state area or seniors)

General member:     $100 (in NYC tri-state area or California)

Platinum patron:      $300 (general membership and a 1-hour consultation)

Corporate member:  $300 (for business organizations, not photographers or archives)

Silver benefactor:     $1000  (all meetings, panels, seminars, and a 2-hour consultation)

2020/2021 Memberships run from May 1, 2020 – April 30, 2021 or November 1, 2020 – October 31, 2021. 

If you join in 2021 you will be eligible for either a May/April or a Nov/Oct 2021/2022 membership.

As with some non-profits, we are not able to have a rolling membership
Up to three people per archive or studio are considered one membership.

APAG is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and a fully tax deductible organization.
